ctosy (beta)
How-to & some usecases:

Before actually using Ectosy snippet on a web page just add this HTML code to its <head>:

<script type='module' src='https://utils.ectosy.com/ectosy-public.js' defer></script>

That will execute our Javascript code that is necessary for a browser to recognize Ectosy snippets. Without that code they will not be functional. After that just copy snippet code from Ectosy app and paste it wherever you want in your web page.

Below are some usecases/examples of Ectosy promotion. They are not exaustive but only ideas to get you going whether you own a tourist property, manage web page, marketing agency or tourist board office.

1. Usecase no. 1 (self-registering)

You rent hotel 'Mountain Top' and have a web page that you want to use in order to attract more direct reservations for your 4 Double Rooms for the upcoming New Year vacations.

Enter hotel's Double rooms as resource called 'Mountain Top - Double Rooms' and fill it with the rooms as positions. You want to do it quickly so you start with Double Room West using AI for description generation with translations to several languages. You finish by uploading its 3 pictures and selecting geolocation. Check everything once more and continue.

Other 3 rooms you quickly enter using 'Start with position entries Double Room West' and you just enter their names: Double Room North, Double Room East and Double Room South. In that way those 3 rooms have the same images, descriptions and geolocation as Double Room West. For this case you are ok with that and you just adjust room title in the desciptions and save the resource. You are set for creating promotional snippet.

Now you go to the Promotion dashboard and click on 'My Ectosy snippets' because you want to create one. You need to wrap it up fast so, after clicking on the blue 'Create new', you select to use 'custom (predefined)' snippet, specifically the horizontal one in 'Banner' dimensions (468x60px) because that is the visual your web page needs. After marking the resource (Mountain Top - Double Rooms) you want the snippet to promote, tweaking details of the snippet are open for changes.

You are satisfied with the position image that is automatically inserted as the banner background, just need to finish it with few text changes and that's it. Click Next and that is your snippet. After you confirm and save it first time you can copy it and use as unregistered.

Namely, it is possible for a renter to create a snippet which will promote some resource and simply copy-paste snippet's code on a web page. That snippet will 'work': potential customers will be able to click on it and express their interest which will be visible in the Renter dashboard. That kind of snippets are called 'unregistered' because they are not connected to any deal and as such their results cannot be followed in the Hosting dashboard.

You will not use the snippet code as unregistered because you want to be able to follow its results in the app Hosting View. So, you find the snippet you just created in the snippets table and in the last cell there is 'cogs' icon for snippet self-registering. Click on it.

Confirm the self-registration and you will be presented with all its registrations, which in this case means only this one.

You can copy registered snippet code by clicking on the 'copy-paste' icon in the first cell. However, you are curious and want to see what will happen if you click on the registration row, so you do that and end up faced with the Hosting view filtered for this specific self-registration.

In the 'Actions' cell of the Hosting view table you can also copy the registered snippet code by clicking on the 'copy' icon. After you do that and actually insert the snippet in your web page, click on the 'Results' icon will give the results of your snippet as the 'Click', 'Show', 'Interest' and 'Transformed' metrics.

2. Usecase no. 2 (deal between known parties)

We have two parties: business (renter) that rents a tourist accomodation unit(s) and the owner/manager of the web page that can be used as a platform for hosting promotional snippets (first party is called 'renter' and second 'hoster').

So, the parties have made a contact and they decide to use Ectosy to implement the deal: renter will make the snippets in dimensions Mobile leaderboard (320x50px) and (Leaderboard 970x90px), hoster will publish it on his web page during the week parties have agreed upon for a price of 2.000,00 EUR.

They will record their deal using Ectosy B2B market.

First, one of them will publicly offer their item on the Ectosy B2B market. That can be renter offering snippets or hoster offering his web page. Let's say hoster saves and offers his web page https://your-secret-mediterrannean.net on B2B Market specifying the conditions he and renter have agreed upon.

Renter, who in the meantime has created those two snippets, also goes to the Promotion dashboard, clicks on the Search web pages and finds that the hoster has published his web page.

Renter clicks on the 'terms' (ribbon wrapped scroll) icon, makes sure that the hoster has correctly published the deal terms and clicks on the blue 'Propose snippet' button at the bottom right. In this way renter places his direct offer to the hoster.

Next dialogue is the table with renters' snippets where he chooses two (Leaderboard and Mobile leaderboard) he has made for pubishing on https://your-secret-mediterrannean.net.

After clicking on the blue 'Next button' renter is presented with the modal for adding optional offer tags. They are irrelevant in this case and renter just clicks on the blue 'Next' button.

Following dialogue is the last one: where renter can review hoster's public offer terms and where he could place his counteroffer. But the deal has already been arranged, there is no point in doing that and renter clicks on the 'Finish' button.

Now his direct offers for two snippets are placed to the hoster, with status 'initial unregistered'.

Hoster, who has been awaiting for renters' direct offers, finds them in 'initial' status after clicking on the 'Offers to me: renters to hoster' option in the main Promotion dashboard ('as hoster' view).

Hoster clicks on the 'terms' icon of the direct offer for Mobile leaderboard snippet in order to see its terms, makes sure everything is as agreed upon and closes the deal by clicking on the 'Accept offer' button.

And that's it, the deal is struck and its status for both parties has become 'accepted'.

Hoster repeats everything for the Leaderboard snippet.

3. Usecase no. 3 (deal over B2B market)

Renter, owner of a beautiful villa, would like to promote it on the Internet but he just does not know how and where. He uses several OTA-s (online travel agencies) but he feels too dependant on them and is not very satisfied with the exorbitant fees they are taking.

So, the renter, after creating several snippets, chooses one and starts publishing procedure for Ectosy B2B market by clicking on the 'market' icon (under 'Actions' cell in the snippets table).

He selects several search tags (short distinct characteristics) for his snippet and confirms them.

Next, he fills the form with the terms he is offering: he wants permanent placement of his snippet and is willing to pay web page owner (hoster) 10 EUR for any tourist interest attracted by the snippet. The snippet is published and its market status is changed to 'Published'.

On the other side, hoster manages several web platforms, amongst them a news website with a nice audience in the Northern Europe (primarily Denmark) and would like to offer it to the tourist business owners for their advertisements and promotion campaigns.

Hoster clicks on the 'Search snippets&articles' option (main Promotion dashboard) and conducts geo search around the area he considers to be attractive to the visitors of his web page.

Hoster clicks on the 'Show renters offer/negotiate' button in order to see the offer details, proposes his local news web page as promotion platform and click on the blue 'Next' button.

There is one thing - hoster is not completely satisfied with the financial part of the renter's public offer: 10 EUR per interest is not enough, he wants 15 EUR. Besides that, he needs to add his VAT (value added tax). So, at the last stage hoster decides to make a counteroffer. Everything else in the offer he leaves as it is and clicks on the blue 'Finish' button (bottom right). Hoster's direct offer is completed with status 'counteroffer' and now he is awaiting for the renters' reaction.

Renter will see the counteroffer after clicking on the 'Offers to me: hosters to renter' (snippet/code icon) option in the main Promotion dashboard. That will result in the snippets table with 'Only items with direct offer' option checked, which he will filter with 'initial (pending) offers'.

Clicking on the 'fire' icon will lead renter to the dialogue with offers for the snippet - between them the previously placed counteroffer. Renter opens it by clicking on the 'terms' icon and decides to accept it by clicking on the blue 'Accept counteroffer' button. Offer's status is changed to 'accepted&registered'.

Hoster can see his counteroffer has been accepted. He is able to copy registered snippet by clicking on the 'code' icon and paste them in promotional web page.

Both partied can follow snippet's promotion results in their Hosting dashboards:

4. Usecase no. 4 (marketing agency)

You run marketing agency and have multiple free ad spaces on your web platforms and maybe some others. That free ad spaces could be used for promotion of tourist accomodation and you are ready to offer your services to the market.

You can publish web pages that are available for placing ads on B2B market or you can contact potential customers in other ways.

Your services can include only publishing snippets or article links that your customers create themselves, or you can do it for them after they provide you with some property images, pricelists and pointers that you can use for custom or AI content. Ectosy is not just a tourist accomodation calendar app - it is poverfull tool for creating and publishing broad variety of tourist advertisements on the Web.

5. Usecase no. 5 (local tourist board office)

As a director of local tourist board office you would like to add a web page to your main web platform with the possibility for local tourist businesses to publish their listings free of charge. Coordinate with them that they create Ectosy snippets of specific dimensions, register 'Free of charge' deals and just copy-paste snippets on the new tourist board office web page. Future guests will have instant access and a way to see the properties and a way to contact owners.

Or you work in an office department that follows and promotes local happenings, landmarks or special occasions. Ectosy articles can serve you very well whether you write with or without included snippets.

6. Usecase no. 6 (ad hoc temporary use)

You manage a hotel and you are satisfied with your current management solution. However, that software does not provide practical way for you to conduct your own seasonal or ad-hoc promotional activities on Internet.

For example, every May your city organizes popular Flower Fair with many guests coming from abroad. You need a way to include that event in your existing web page and you want to publish the article about your hotel as a perfect staying place during the fair.

Ectosy is a very practical solution for that. You can create nice snippet in several dimensions, put them in your web page and maybe see whether some relevant web pages (on flowers, gardening or similar) could host it also. After that create article in few minutes with AI, tweak it if necessary, pick two images and that's it, you are set for promotion.

Article and snippets will enable customers to notify you about their interests. You will be informed about them by email and in the Ectosy renter dashboard. As to your main management app, you can connect it to Ectosy with its iCal link address (and vice versa).

Point is: building blocks of every usecase are the same, just adjust them for your specific situation and use Ectosy app in the extent and duration that is useful for you.

Note: you don't need to add previous <script> to your web page if you need to use Ectosy article url address or article link element. It's necessary only for Ectosy snippets.
