Public and direct offers:

Public offers:

Public offer is that which an user is defining when publishing his item on B2B market. That offer is meant to be seen by all other users.

/instructions/market-publishing/index.html

Unless published with checked option 'Fast registration' public offer cannot be directly accepted by other users. If they want to negotiate they must use the public offer as the starting point, propose their item (web page, snippet or article) and finish by:

1. directly offering unchanged public offer

2. directly offering counteroffer

Such public offer is basically a way for an user to announce that he is open for business with the public offer that is preferable to him. If he chooses so, in the form field 'This terms are negotiable' he can select 'No' option (or write something with that intention in the 'Additional terms/descriptions' field) in order to signal to other users that they should not bother with counteroffers. However, they still can do it.

Direct offers:

Direct offer is that which an user is proposing to another user using that user's public offer as the starting point. Direct offer terms can, but need not, be completely equal to the public offer terms. If that terms are not equal than direct offer is called 'counteroffer' because user publishing the public offer will know that other user in not starting with the terms that are equal to the public offer.

User making the direct offer can be a renter (owner/manager of a tourist accomodation) or a hoster (owner/manager of a web platform). The condition is that the person that offer has been directed to has published his item (snippet, article or web page) on the B2B market so that it could be found by searching it. However, the user making the offer does not need to publish his item (snippet, article or web page) on the B2B market. That item can be included to the direct offer notwithstanding whether it is public or not.

Example 1 (hoster accepts renter's direct offer):

1. Hoster makes a public offer

Let's say a web platform owner (hoster, as he is hosting Ectosy promotional material) has published his web site https://list-of-beautiful-places.net on the B2B market. As the payment metric he had selected 'per snippet/article show' with the price 0.01 EUR plus VAT 25%. That is hoster's public offer of his web platform.

2. Renter searches and makes a direct offer

Another user (renter) owns a tourist accomodation property (resource) in Croatia and, by querying B2B market, has found hoster's web platform https://list-of-beautiful-places.net that targets Croatia and which, as such, could be interesting for hosting his promotional material. In order to see the public offer, renter clicks on the 'terms' icon.

Renter decides to offer a snippet in two sizes (Leaderboard and Mobile leaderboard), selects them and clicks on the 'Next' button.

Renter adds several informative tags for the hoster and clicks on the 'Next' button.

At the final step renter decides to counteroffer. So, he checks 'I want to counteroffer' option (top left) and as the 'Payment metric' selects 'fixed for hosting period'. He would like to do promotion action during the period from 16.08.2026. to 31.08.2026. and he is willing to pay 500 EUR plus VAT for that service. At the end he clicks the 'Finish' button.

3. Hoster checks for direct offers

At the main Promotion dashboard, under 'Negotiations' section, hoster selects 'as hoster' and clicks on the 'Offers to me: renters to hoster' option in order to see if he has some new direct offers. Sure enough, there are two for web page https://list-of-beautiful-places.net the renter has made in our previous point. Also, hoster sees that the renter has counteroffered.

Hoster clicks on the 'full' option (top of the 'Content' field) in order to see the full visual of the snippets that have been offered to him.

He already knows that the bigger one (728x90 Leaderboard) will not fit into his web page and so he rejects it by clicking on the 'terms' icon and than 'Reject counteroffer' button.

However, the smaller snippet's dimensions (320x50 Mobile leaderboard) are ok. Hoster toggles 'initial offer' and 'counter offer' options at the top to see what are the differences between his public offer and renter's direct offer (counteroffer) and, after considering it for a minute, he decides to accept by clicking on the 'Accept counteroffer' button. After doing that, offer status has changed to 'accepted'.

4. Renter checks for hoster's response

Few minutes after making the direct offer, renter refreshes the 'Negotiations' sections of his Promotion dashboard (as renter) and clicks on the 'My offers: renter to hosters' option.

It is evident from the table that his direct offer for the bigger snippet has been rejected but accepted for the Mobile leaderboard size. He clicks on the 'magnifying glass' icon for the Hosting dashboard filtered for this deal. There he can copy registered snippet code, follow the promotion results and use some other options.

Example 2 (renter accepts hoster's direct offer):

1. Renter makes a public offer

An Ectosy user that owns tourist accomodation units (renter) had made a promotional article 'Villas Castrum Escape' and has published it on the B2B market. He hopes that some web platform owner (hoster) will find it there and offer him a promotion deal.

After our renter clicks on the 'market' icon he enters several informational property tags and chooses a snippet that will be offered as the article link element. It does not matter that that snippet has been created for promotion of some other resource because any snippet can be used as an article link element.

After clicking on the 'Next' button (bottom left) the renter fills the form with his public offer and ends with the click on the 'Finish' button. With that the article has been published on the B2B market.

2. Hoster searches and makes a direct offer

Another Ectosy user owns a popular web platform which he would like to monetize by offering tourist promotion services. As such in Ectosy eco system, that user is called 'hoster' because his web page is hosting Ectosy promotional material (snippets and articles). So, he geo-searches B2B market and finds the renter's article.

Hoster has already hosted this article before but that deal has expired and he is ready to make new direct offer. So he clicks on the 'Show renter's offer/negotiate' and selects the web page he wants to propose for article hosting.

At the end, he decides to directly offer the terms which are completely equal to the hosters public terms. So, he leaves the offer as it is and clicks on the blue 'Finish' button.

With that his direct offer to the hoster has been made and now he is awaiting for the renter's response.

3. Renter checks for direct offers

At the main Promotion dashboard, under 'Negotiations' section, renter selects 'as renter' and clicks on the 'article' icon next to the 'Offers to me: hosters to renter' option in order to see if he has some new direct offers for promoting the published article. Click takes him to the 'My Ectosy articles' table with the option 'Only items with direct offers' checked.

With option 'Only items with direct offers' checked only articles with offers or deals are included into table, each with the 'fire' icon. Renter is interested only in initial (pending) offers so he selects that filter also.

Click on the 'fire' icon opens the dialogue with the hoster's offer.

In order to see the terms of the direct offer renter clicks on the 'terms' icon, sees that it is completely equal to the public offer and clicks on the blue 'Accept offer' button.

As the 'initial (pending) offers' filter is still on and he just accepted the offer, it is not visible in the offers table. However, after he turns off the filter (or sets it to 'accepted offers'), just accepted offer is there (under no. 1), accepted and registered. The 'magnifying glass' icon is now present which means the parties can open the Hosting dashboard for the registered item (article), copy paste the article link element (or url) and follow the promotion results.

4. Hoster checks for renter's response

Few minutes after making the direct offer, hoster refreshes the 'Negotiations' sections of his Promotion dashboard (as hoster), clicks on the 'My offers: hoster to renters' option and sees that his offer for promotion of the article has been accepted. Right there he can copy the article link ('link' icon) and the code of its link element ('code' icon) or he can click on the 'magnifying glass' icon for Hosting dashboard filtered for this deal.

In the Hosting dashboard, same as the renter in his Hosting dashboard, hoster can also copy url address and link element code, follow results and use some other options.
